Born from Tradition, Driven by Family

Hurry Curry started as a family conversation around the kitchen table — recipes gently passed down through the years, spices measured by memory, and meals made the way our grandparents taught us. We wanted to bring those comforting, bold flavors out from the home and onto the streets so everyone could taste the stories behind each dish.

Our food blends tradition and care with the practicality of a hardworking family. We honor the small rituals of home cooking — the tempering of spices, slow-simmered bases, and balanced layers of heat and aroma — and present them in a friendly, fast-moving format for busy city life.

What began as weekend pop-ups quickly turned into a full-time food truck because our community loved the honest, soulful cooking. Today we continue to show up every day with fresh ingredients, family recipes, and the same hardworking spirit that got us here.

Born in Bangladesh, Shampa learned traditional cooking from family elders and later balanced that passion with a professional career in banking. With over 10 years of experience in finance — including serving as a vice president — she brings a disciplined, creative approach to the kitchen, blending precision with the heart of home cooking.

Suman Barua - Operations Manager

Operations Manager & Co-Founder

Suman is Bangladeshi and a proud steward of his family’s culinary traditions. After more than 8 years working in banking, he chose to bring the flavors he grew up with — slow-cooked curries, fragrant rice, and layered spice blends — to the community. His goal is to share the heart of Bangladeshi home cooking, honoring culture and family recipes while running a hard-working, welcoming business.
